The PEI Health Coalition says the provincial government's growing reliance on private health-care delivery could drive up costs while weakening the public system.

The coalition argues that sending more public dollars to private providers can make accountability, coordination, and continuity of care harder to protect, while leaving Islanders to absorb the long-term cost of fragmented service delivery.
