Child Poverty on P.E.I. Shows Little Improvement

A new report card on child and family poverty shows little improvement on Prince Edward Island, with more than 5,000 children still living below the poverty line.
For the PEI Health Coalition, the findings are also a health-care issue. Poverty affects nutrition, housing stability, stress, mental health, and child development, and it shapes whether families can access the conditions they need to stay well.
